Carla Herrero
- ... that Carla Herrero (pictured) realized she had been bullied in school for eight years only when she entered a new school environment? - This is a drive-by comment for now, but I'm not sure if ALT0 is a good idea. Not only is it a very downlifting hook, it's probably not a good idea to focus on such a negative aspect of her life. ALT1 might have more potential, but it may be need to be reworded to put focus away from the bullying part. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:24, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Narutolovehinata5: Sorry not to have answered earlier; I didn't realize you were waiting for a response. I argue the hooks are appropriate, for the subject is notable for her anti-bullying advocacy. Perhaps a hook should refer to her as an anti-bullying activist. What are your thoughts? Hameltion (talk, contribs) 04:33, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not against there being a mention of bullying in a hook, only that a hook that mentions it sounds positive instead of sounding negative. ALT1 would likely serve as a basis for this, I'd suggest that in that case the activism be mentioned first instead of the bullying. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 04:58, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Hameltion: How about something like this?
- ALT2 ... that Carla Herrero's research projects on youth identity amid bullying were inspired by her own experiences being bullied in school for eight years?
- Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:37, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: I see. That would be all right. Hameltion (talk, contribs) 02:26, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
- Full review needed, including all hooks. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:41, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: The only thing this woman is noted for on WP is her work and experience involving bullying, so the fact there are negative connotations to those experiences cannot matter to a hook. However, simply saying, hello, did you know someone was bullied, is not catchy at all on its own. Most or many of us bully and get bullied to a degree as we develop social experience. 8 years is a long time but it doesn't establish itself in a hookiness way.
ALT2: ... that founder of the youth support group Rompe el Silencio (Break the Silence), Spanish writer and lecturer Carla Herrero, met bullying victims from around the world after she blogged about her negative childhood experiences?~ R.T.G 00:51, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
- ALT2 is far above the 200 character limit and thus is not suitable. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:23, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
- ALT2a: ... that Spanish writer and lecturer Carla Herrero, founder of youth support group Rompe el Silencio, blogged childhood experiences and met bullying victims from around the world? ~ R.T.G 06:21, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
- ALT3:
... that based on her own childhood experiences, Spanish writer Carla Herrero formed an organization called Rompe el Silencio to support youth who have suffered bullying, abuse, and psychological disorders?--evrik (talk) 16:31, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

- Striking ALT3, which is also over 200 characters. ALT3a is just under:
