Air Algérie Flight 2208

[edit]

An Air Algérie Lockheed L-100 Hercules similar to the one involved in the accident

  • Not sure if saying the pilot's skill was the reason the plane avoided a highly-populated area, but it's acceptable. Other than that, length, date, sourcing and QPQ all check out. --Al Ameer son (talk) 19:24, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
  • I don't see the hook fact anywhere in the article. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:35, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
That's because the article was modified. I'm providing an alternative hook below:
ALT1 ... that an Algerian cargo aircraft that crashed in Northern Italy in 2006 did so in the surroundings of highly-populated areas but led to the fatalities of the three occupants on board only?

--Jetstreamer Talk 11:31, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

  • ALT 1 approved, tick based on previous review. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:34, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
  • I think the ALT1 hook is oddly worded: "in the surroundings of highly populated areas"? What does that even mean? Something along the lines of "did so near a highly populated area but only killed the three crew members?" is clearer and more direct. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:12, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
*ALT2: ... that an Algerian cargo aircraft crashed in a highly-populated areas in Northern Italy but killed only the three occupants on board? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:12, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Almost there. Minor grammatical issues, plus I think "occupants" and "on board" are a bit redundant together. I've called that one ALT2; here's ALT3:
  • ALT3: ... that an Algerian cargo aircraft crashed near a highly populated area of Northern Italy but killed only the three crew members on board? —BlueMoonset (talk) 19:10, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Less wording, even better. Thanks. BTW, I've crossed out the two previous ALTs.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:05, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
