1892 Michigan Wolverines football team
[edit]- ... that after George Jewett (pictured) played for the 1892 Michigan football team, it was 40 years before another African-American played for the Wolverines?

- Nominator has more than five DYKs. They need to review an article.
- Newness and length check out. Image has a copyright notice that works. Article reads as neutral enough. Hook is supported by the text.
- Hook could probably be made more neutral by not using starred as article doesn't say that but the statistics bear that out. That could be WP:SYNTH. This may require a second opinion.
- Article has a fact tag that needs addressing.
- Image in the hook does not appear in the article. Image needs to be put in the article or hook cannot run with image.
- Offline sources/behind paywall sources contain no plagiarism and fully support relevant text.
Nominator has not reviewed. Image is not used in article. Fact tag needs clearing up. Hook has some concerns and alternative should be proposed. --LauraHale (talk) 05:43, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- I have now completed a QPQ review here: Template:Did you know nominations/The Old Vinyl Factory. I've also addressed the other issues you raised, including changing the word "starred" in the hook. (Based on the published game accounts, he clearly was the star of the team, but I think your note was appropriate.) Thanks for the helpful comments. Cbl62 (talk) 23:43, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
