I kindly ask admins and other contributors on this article to prevent vandalisms like this one [1]. That edit was done almost 15 months before and noone corrected that. We should show more attention towards this article where we cooperate. Kamarad Walter (talk) 01:06, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- What vandalism? I see a good-faith removal of information concerning a number of minor pre-WWII football clubs, which seems barely relevant in the main article about the city. No such user (talk) 07:32, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- If your point was that before WW2, the ethnic structure was different, you're welcome to add that to Population section (sourced, of course). But please, let's not count small football clubs from 70 years ago. No such user (talk) 07:38, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Were you the one that did that edit (as the IP)?
You haven't understood me. I'd say now that your edit [2] was too clumsy. We should not contribute that way.
We shouldn't exclude informations and delete somebody's work, if it's not vandalism.
Second part of the problem is that those clubs weren't "minor clubs". These clubs were playing in the Premier Leagues (of Croatia and Yugoslavia). Simply check the articles about those clubs.
At last, although some of those clubs were small clubs, that's not the reason to evade the mentioning of those clubs.
About ethnic structure before WW2: that was not the issue here. As we've seen, you've deleted the entries about current Serb clubs: FK Teleoptik, FK Zmaj and FK Milutinac. And besides that, you've deleted the link from Hala Pinki.
Therefore, I find it necessary to restore my edit with some more lines.
Thank You for your quick response and looking forward to out future mutual coopeeration. Kamarad Walter (talk) 20:37, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- OK, I wasn't too careful I admit, and the paragraph I restored probably wasn't best. However, you're wrong concerning the inclusion of information. I would agree that almost every published piece of information should fit somewhere on Wikipedia, but there are many, many levels of detail. You cannot add every tiny detail in every context. I argue that the information about football clubs from 1930s are too detailed for an article about the city, especially if they're not balanced with information about current state of affairs. Etymology
English "Zemun" comes from Slavic "Zimun" as Heavenly Goddess Maat (Mat') in the symbol of cow, mother of Rod. In Ancient Egypt also known as Hathor (comes from Kosh or Makosh, mother of Slavic god Horo or Horus and wife of Slavic god Ra (Brahma)) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.58.150.122 (talk) 21:46, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Too bad half of this written here isn't true. There is no rivarly because two towns Zemun and Belgrade , and seconldy Zemun is not a town, how hard is that to understand?Too bad your using biased Croatian references(who have territorial pretension to this part of Serbia) and not Serbian(even though it is place in Serbia)
Why are Croatian football clubs that existed 3 years, during NAZI USTASHA occupation of Zemun so important to history of Zemun? Why don't you check how biased references you use are before making an article?I am a Serb,I live here and it is very insulting to cite Croatian references about this place, because Croats never ruled this place, they only occupied together with Germany? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.189.207.127 (talk) 06:50, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
I deleted that "sport" part simply because these Croat football clubs are not worth mentioning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.189.207.127 (talk) 06:54, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
Please be aware that user named Zrnic posted a fake internet site adress for Zemun instead of official one,I will fix that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.189.197.200 (talk) 11:52, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

- The square was called Mažuranić until 200x, now it's Marko Nikolić street. Zemun borders Stara Pazova indeed, but not Pećinci. As the article says, Palilula and Stari Grad are across the river. Fixed. No such user (talk) 09:49, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
OK sorry SURCIN borders Pecinci not Zemun,my mistake.24.135.67.67 (talk) 12:21, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
