Merge ?
[edit]I spent some time on this and suspect that the article should merge with Jafarabad, Uttar Pradesh. The names appear to be used interchangeably.
- References at Jafarabad analyzed
The first reference to "52nd REPORT OF THE COMMISSIONER FOR LINGUISTIC MINORITIES IN INDIA" does not clarify anything.
- The 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica reference says, "JAFARABAD, a state of India, in the Kathiawar agency of Bombay, forming part of the territory of the nawab of Janjira; area, 42 sq. m.; pop. (1901), 12,097; estimated revenue, £4000. The town of Jafarabad (pop. 6038), situated on the estuary of a river, carries on a large coasting trade." That would be far to the east, not Uttar Pradesh.
This map indicates Jafarabad
- The census reference is for "Jafarabad", but shows it in the same district.
A look at the Google map shows that Zafarabad is located on the Gomti River (not at an estuary) and has a rail line.
A look at this map shows the same location with the Jafarabad name].
- Other
There is also this village called Jafrabad not in Jaunpur District. --LilHelpa (talk) 23:41, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
