[edit]There was also a version with 3 20mm B20 cannons, called Yak-3P (P for Pushka/cannon). It was produced after WW2.
I would remove the propagandistic "order to not engage Yak-3"s, unless if someone can find it in a Lufwaffe pilot's memoirs. That line seems to come up every time the Jak-3 is mentioned, and I havent yet heard of it having an actual source in German literature. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.156.5.131 (talk) 20:54, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
I-30
[edit]......
They were partly constructed from aluminium and were more heavily armed than the Yak-1:
- first machine: 2x 20mm ShVAK guns in wings and 2x ShKAS 7,62mm machine-guns over engine
- second machine: 2x 20mm ShVAK guns in wings and 4x ShKAS 7,62mm machine-guns over engine
Both prototypes were powered by a Klimov M-105P engine (809.6 kW). Due to a lack of aluminium, the machnines did not enter production.
......
- I moved the I-30 material out of the article since it has nothing to do with Yak-3. It should be integrated into the Yak-3 article or a separate I-30 page. - Emt147 Burninate! 00:18, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
- I-30 material from here has now been integrated into the Yakovlev Yak-1 page. - Emt147 Burninate! 08:35, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
