Based on Wikipedia policy on notability SPIP This article should be simplified to very basic
information. Considering that Nathwani's term of office was very short and due to end on January 6th 2019, this should be done.George Orwell Peterson (talk) 21:50, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nathwani is no longer a state senator and is barely notable. This article is pure potlical Self Promotion and should be shorten up to reflect his lack of notably. Nathwani is just a local political "Wonk" and will slide back in obscurity, after his 15 minute of minor political fame. — Preceding unsigned comment added by George Orwell Peterson (talk • contribs) 20:10, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
He is still a Senator until January 9, 2019, but even if he wasn't there is precedent for this article.
Jim Kirkpatrick was a member of the Illinois House of Representatives from January 4, 2017 – January 11, 2017. This is an article I wrote, but no one has ever taken issue with it.
I figure these five examples (including two Illinois legislators) are sufficient to prove my point. I understand there is some concern that the article could be used for self promotion (especially as a candidate for office in future elections), but notability is established. He was a member of a subnational legislator who took votes in the Illinois General Assembly. Additionally, he is the first Asian-American to serve in the Illinois Senate even if it is only ~39 days.--Mpen320 (talk) 01:04, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
