Really childish

[edit]
  • One anonymous editor has deemed it appropriate to change the words physically challenged to handicapped and visually challenged to blind, giving the reason in the edit summaries, which indicates that former words are politically motivated. Actually, these words have come into circulation over a period of decades to give respect to the community of handicapped and the blind persons, and have no political overtones and colors, but accepted terms by social scientists and psychologists.

By such childish changes, I am reminded of the proverb: empty vessels sound much. Please do not make wikipedia small by your small thinking. Really, some persons, though endowed with sight are worse than the blind in their attitudes and mental make up and see the world with their own tainted looking glass, imputing motives to simple words. They do not have the guts and the integrity to edit with their registered Ids to give continuity to their style of editing for the benefit of the community of wikipedians. Please do not be afraid – come into open, and edit fearlessly: you are most welcome; because I am sure no new wikipedian would have edited few words so deeply. --Bhadani 10:22, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
