Explanation of the editing of the article
[edit]I have edited the article by removing the word "physicist" ; he was a PHYSICAL CHEMIST. If in doubt, consult the article "physical chemistry". That field lays between physics and chemistry; typical subfields are "thermochemistry", "electrochemistry". One may note that the article says "father of modern thermochemistry" - a subfield of "physical chemistry".
The Polish version in pl.wikipedia has a more serious error calling him a "biophysicist" which
is frankly idiotic without any justification.I shall correct this soon if it is not done.
