He was raided in his jail cell?

[edit]

So what was he in there for in the first place?

Oh, it was the original charge. No problem, I just confused myself somehow.

When governments have something to hide, they slap 'secret' on it or 'classified'. Nobody can check if that was justified. 2001:8003:A070:7F00:84EE:BDE2:DCC4:904 (talk) 01:24, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Name?

[edit]

I'm using Witness J throughout, the INSLM and court use Alan Johns and the article previously just said J in some paragraphs. I'm not opposed to someone else picking a consistent way to do this. VerneDurand (talk) 05:56, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ASIS attribution/sourcing question

[edit]

I would appreciate input on whether/how strongly we can state that Witness J was employed by ASIS. The current sources for that (vs saying DFAT or an intelligence agency) are a twitter account and Julian Burnside's blog which don't count as reliable sources (I would say Burnside is arguable). I've minimised the claim in the article as it is and not sure how much more I can do, since I don't want to cut that unnecessarily. VerneDurand (talk) 13:16, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Its all good. If Witness J's occupation is unknown, Its fine how you did it. FloridaMan21 (talk) 16:10, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Potential image(s)

[edit]

I don't think there are any great images, certainly none in the public domain I'm aware of. This article contains two provided (presumably by him) but I don't know if they have enough encyclopaedic value to justify non-free use. VerneDurand (talk) 11:00, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Its fine if there are no images due to the anonymity of Witness J. I'm not an expert on copyright so if you have any questions about it you can visit http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:Media_copyright_questions and can ask a question. FloridaMan21 (talk) 16:34, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
