the list of his compositions at IMSLP suggests - unless (the works without opus number provide no clue here) something is seriously missing...?- that the last 5 years of his life went without much finished work (opus 45 having been finished in 1922). This is not that unusual, I guess, but it would be interesting to know if there was some biographical reason (as with some other composers whose regular work habits were interrupted by life changes short of death itself, e.g. Raff having to adjust to great responsibilities as head of the Hoch Conservatory)- in Stenhammar's case - more teaching? Increasing illness? ... I have no idea of his biography for those years anyway so cannot conjecture anyway... Schissel | Sound the Note!04:10, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
note that IMSLP is based solely on public domain content AND the efforts of its editors - it is neither complete, nor is every composer as well-covered as others are - IMSLP is not a great indicator of a composer's output 50.111.34.214 (talk) 04:07, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
