"The helmet was slugged from the bed of the River Thames close to Waterloo Bridge in 1868"

Unfamilar with this term, "slugged" Is it archaeological? None of the definitions of the word seem to fit this useage. Is it a typo? Charliepenandink (talk) 22:56, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
