@Dxneo:

They are not vulnerable to linkrot, but I'll archive them. dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • In the references,
    • Refs 8, 15, 172 and 213 are unreliable.
8 is an interview published by a reliable source, Capital Xtra. dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
15 was when she teased the release date, very much reliable since the song came out on the exact date. dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
172 was published by Radiomonitor Türkiye, which is a radio chart compiler in Turkey.
213 is a regional certification, not sure why this is red. dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
    • Are refs 3, 124, 125 and 90 (Rolling Stone) reliable?
Marginally. dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was published under Creative Commons Attribution license, meaning reuse is allowed. I just added an archive URL to keep this safe. dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Remove the "See also" section.
Why? dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is Marshmello navbox necessary here.
Marshmello and Travis Scott are on the remix, so yes. dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Should add it to the navbox then. Vestrian24Bio 16:12, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Are those external links necessary?

Vestrian24Bio 11:25, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it would still be relevant even if I added few performances, but the music video of the remix and the meaning behind the lyrics will do. dxneo (talk) 12:24, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Why out of the nominations, BRIT and BET are mentioned in the lead; should include BBMA and VMA wins.
  • Doesn't ref 8 has a website counterpart or something?
  • Ref 6 alone is enough for Chris Brown tour sentence.
  • Isn't there an article for Lee-ché "Litchi" Janecke in some other wikis at least...
  • Isn't there a news coverage for ref 15? (it's fine though)
  • Don't ref 172 has a website??
  • Ref 211, "ARIA Charts – Accreditations – 2024 Singles" - links to Dropbox document - check the link...
  • Don't have to repeat American twice in the last sentence of "Background and release" section.
  • YouTube link to the music video & remix should be on the infobox, only the lyric meaning video at the external links.

Vestrian24Bio 16:12, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

All fixed. According to this revision, ref172 is a UK Afrobeats Charts which was auto-generated, meaning there's a website there. As for ref211, that's how it supposed to be, you can either use your browser or Dropbox to view the certifications. dxneo (talk) 19:18, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The Dropbox document is uploaded by someone called "Tara Thomas from PAM Official" - not from ARIA. Vestrian24Bio 07:42, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just checked with the template, ARIA certifications link to Dropbox usually, so it's fine. Vestrian24Bio 11:41, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • According to MOS:SEEALSO, ... a useful way to organize internal links to related or comparable articles and Links in this section should be relevant and limited to a reasonable number... They are currently more than limited and not similar links. Vestrian24Bio 16:31, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
See some articles such as "Blinding Lights" or 1989. Definitely acceptable. You may trim it if you wish since I wouldn't know which ones to remove. dxneo (talk) 19:18, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Listing only the charts in which "water" peaked at No.1 position would be enough. Vestrian24Bio 09:56, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Trimmed it. Is it okay with you? dxneo (talk) 10:41, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Vestrian24Bio 11:17, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ref 168 (previously 172) - links to Radiomonitor Türkiye's tweet, isn't there like a website or something to be used instead...
Unfortunately there isn't. It has been used like that for quite some time now. dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Elsewhere" - is that the right word for the section, a more common term would be nice.
An admin and FAC coordinator performed a copyedit; it was Global then he changed it to Elsewhere on this revision. dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Instead of number 12 in 1968, say twelfth position in 1968.
Consistency is key. We have already used "11", "37" and so on, so we can't write numbers in words now. Hope you understand. dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Source for Luminate report?
At the end of the sentence. Ref38. dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • the final two measures influencing the Hot R&B Songs chart - clarify.
Not sure what I should clarify there. dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It says "final two measures" - what are other measures...? Vestrian24Bio 06:48, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The source states that "For the two remaining metrics that funnel into the Hot R&B Songs chart – song sales and radio airplay – “Water” sold 2,000 downloads in the same period, a 17% bump from the prior week, and registered 51.7 million in airplay audience across all formats, down 4%." The measures are sales and airplay, I guess the admin just paraphrased this. dxneo (talk) 10:08, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Source for Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart?
Ref40 states that "Beyond its Rhythmic Airplay reign, the track sits at No. 1 for a third week on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart". dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • directed by child. and Kwasi "C&P" Fordjour. -- 2 directors??
Personally, I don't trust those two sources, but if other editors found them useful then there's nothing I can do. Initially, I used People, but it only reference one Director (child.). In the article, ref56 says "child. and Kwasi Fordjour", and ref57 says "child. and C&P". So I'm not sure how or why they coined Kwasi "C&P" Fordjour. Thoughts? dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Official YouTube video's description says: "director: child & co-director: c&p", should go by that I guess. Vestrian24Bio 06:57, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
 Done. dxneo (talk) 10:02, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • By August 2024, the music video had over 220 million views - source?
 Done dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Refs 58&59 are reused as refs 60&62.
 Done dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Aren't there anything more to add to the "Remix" section... only 2 sentences, barely a paragraph.
I guess the remix video did get much relevant coverage. I'll look for more tho. dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is it necessary to quote Cassper Nyovest's tweet, it is already mentioned in the adjacent paragraph.
Where is it mentioned again? dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The controversy section, it says "Cassper Nyovest posted on Twitter to express his feelings on how Tyla was snubbed of the accolade" - that's enogh. Vestrian24Bio 07:04, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The tweet went into detail and the prose did not. If I only left it as "Cassper Nyovest posted on Twitter to express his feelings on how Tyla was snubbed of the accolade", one would ask me of how he expressed his feelings. I truly think it's okay just like that. dxneo (talk) 09:58, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add a source for SAMA defeat and Mthandeni SK's response.
ref67 states that ""uCassper Nyovest yilabafan abasindwa zikhindi le ko Hip Hop uzovuka ngathi la Ku Maskandi ngizolishaya lelidada," he posted, implying that Nyovest, a figure from the hip-hop genre, was encroaching upon the maskandi space to regain fame". The following paragraph on the source should cover it all. How are you missing these sources? This is like the third time I had to introduce a cited source in this discussion. By the way, this 30th Annual South African Music Awards controversy was verified on this FLC discussion. dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add a clarification with citation on the note for Billboard says otherwise.
On the note, ref2 is a Billboard source, and it kind of goes against the other source. That was the whole importance of that note. dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • First 2 refs are enough for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve performance.

Vestrian24Bio 16:08, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

 Done dxneo (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • she opened with "Safer" and by "On My Body" - what does "by" means here...
Good catch, fixed checkY dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • No need to list all songs performed at Tokyo, this article is only about "Water".
You are right. Fixed checkY dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Tyla opened with the South African national anthem, "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika", at the One Universe Festival in Seoul on 28 August 2024[85][86] and on 20 September[87] in Brazil at the Rock in Rio festival at the Parque Olimpico.[88][89] - how any of theses are relevant here?
Trimmed out, thank you. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, per WP:RED, to avoid orphaned pages. The event is notable and I'm currently working on it. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Could have it redirected to a related page for now such as Billboard (magazine). Vestrian24Bio 14:58, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
 Done dxneo (talk) 15:13, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Awards without their own page are not-notable to include in the table.
Per which guideline? dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Another editor once told me, I'll check and see... Vestrian24Bio 16:10, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Got nothing. Vestrian24Bio 16:24, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is Myx Awards still pending..?
Fixed checkY dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Use the {{Ref.}} header template in the awards table.
It's okay anyhow, but I changed it. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • The "Controversy" should placed next to the awards table, in a level 3 header.
Reason? dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Given the only mentioned controversies are related to VMA and SAMA - thought it would be easier for a reader to understand in the order, that's all. Vestrian24Bio 16:10, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Could use {{Div col}} for the "Credits and personnel" listing.
Is this necessary? dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just a suggestion. Seen pages doing so to avoid a whitespace nearby. Vestrian24Bio 16:10, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • No need for " " before dashes.
This wasn't necessary, but I tweaked it. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Title of ref 115 (HR - Top 10 Best Songs of 2023) needs to be changed...
Might have removed it since I can't find it. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are two CS1 maintenance issues in the page.
How do I fix them? Help out. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
One of them requires an |author= parameter in the {{cite AV media notes}} template used on the digital liner notes ref. Another one is because of a numeric value in some of these parameters. Vestrian24Bio 02:43, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the documentation, doesn't seem like it's a problem, just a tracking category. Vestrian24Bio 05:10, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are two embedded anchors - why?
I don't know what those are. Please point them out. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There were two anchors ("Global" and "Remix version") that were left by the copy-editors in case of incoming redirects, but there are none so I removed them now. Vestrian24Bio 02:32, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add a language variant.
 Done dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Format the last part as following,
== References ==
=== Notes ===
{{notelist}}
=== Citations ===
{{reflist}}
== External links ==
I prefer to keep it the way it is right now. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Use a more common term for "euphonious", as it might be hard for non-native English readers to understand.
That's a quote, should I change it?

@Dxneo: That's all. Vestrian24Bio 11:48, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, you the best. dxneo (talk) 13:33, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Source spot-check: pass

All else good, passing for GA. Vestrian24Bio 05:10, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
