Start with sergeant?

Is it really necessary to start the opening § with his rank Sergeant. I don't even think Muck's rank should be mentioned anywhere but the info box. Does anyone agree?--Martin (talk) 23:55, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Born in Buffalo, NY?

The article states that Muck was born in South Bend, Indiana, but in this [link http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.muck/57/mb.ashx], somebody who claims to be Muck's second cousin who says that Muck is from the Buffalo, New York area. DOB?
