In the Hamas crimes section there is at one point a line that reads, 'on the counter side, the IDF [has also been accused of bad things]. There is a separate section on the alleged Israeli crimes, this sentence doesn't belong here and adds no info on the Hamas crimes. JoeJShmo^💌 11:03, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request for misleading quotation

In the By Israel section, the sentence, [Antony Blinken indicated the Biden administration has a "high tolerance" for whatever happens in Gaza.], through the use of quote marks, could imply that this is direct language from Blinken or Biden himself via Blinken.

The sentence that it appears to reference in the cited article is: [Even so, Mr. Blinken signaled in his travels that the Biden administration would have a high tolerance for whatever results from Israel’s military response.], giving no indication that this language is directly from either but rather an editorial choice by the article author.

As such, I suggest the quote marks be removed, the sentence be struck, or the sentence be changed to [Antony Blinken "signaled in his travels that the Biden administration would have a high tolerance for whatever results from Israel’s military response" in Gaza, according to Edward Wong of the New York Times.] in order to prevent misunderstanding. 163.182.3.214 (talk) 03:36, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Kashmiri, it wasn't clear where they want it added; they've clarified now they would like a new section on abductions and expand the detainee abuse section; feel free to add it. Although, I don't think using the phrase "Israel is accused" is not an accurate representation of the source; the prisoner conditions comes from what "the captives said in a joint statement" and "Palestinians and their supporters often equate [administrative detention] to kidnapping". – macaddct1984 ^{(talk | contribs)} 23:11, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Change no section on abductions, referring to retaliatory kidnapping by israel to a new section on abductions where israel is accused of carrying out retaliatory kidnappings of 3,432 civilians including healthcare workers and journalists using the upi source as reference. Israeli war crimes in the Israel–Hamas war exists, as well as Israeli war crimes the equivalent of the latter for Hamas is included in Hamas war crimes. What exactly is it that you are proposing? Selfstudier (talk) 15:27, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There's the rub, which articles do we want to have as parents and which as children? Atm, we have IH war, contains a War crimes section, with this article as main (and Israeli/Hamas war crimes as see alsos).
