Dating of Second Temple Walls

There is evidence that the building of the walls actually came nearly a century later. See http://www.askwhy.co.uk/judaism/0290Ezra.php "The compiler, unable to distinguish between the Persian kings thought “year seven of Darius” meant Darius I. It was impossible, so he rejected it in favour of Artaxerxes, who had already been mentioned in the context of Nehemiah, because the two men were together at the dedication. Change of use

The walls were built for defence, and served that role until the 20th century. However they did not then immediately transform into a tourist attraction, as is implied by the statement that they "Mainly serve as an attraction for tourists since they ceased to serve as a means of protection for the city"Royalcourtier (talk) 05:53, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
