[edit]

The definition of greater Victoria and number of inhabitants is unclear. The number of inhibtants it referred either to above or below one million.

Have updated the population (IBGE official figures) and so deleted contradictory tag. BTW, the Greater Vitória page says which other cities are included. Jameswilson 03:31, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ports

[edit]

I've added a description of the Port of Tubarão, translated from the Portugese Wikipedia article for Vitória. I'm not a speaker of Portuguese, so Google helped me, and I then removed any parts I wasn't sure about. I'd appreciate having a person fluent in both English and Portuguese review my work. Wdfarmer (talk) 23:05, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My description also contains a red link to a future English Wikipedia article, Port of Tubarão. The Portugese article, pt:Porto de Tubarão, appears to be quite extensive, and I'd like to see it translated into English. Wdfarmer So, I've submitted a translation request. cleaning of article

[edit]

Did some cleaning - removed part of the introduction about nightlife that seemed inappropriate and with too many detailed information. It's probably better to create a 'culture' subtopic and elaborate it more. Also removed the metro-rail section, as its only a project and probably won't be implemented. Not to mention that it was written in a really bad English. --CaioMarcos (talk) 04:52, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Terceira Ponte

[edit]

The photo caption has the Terceira Ponte as the 'tallest bridge in Brazil', but in the article it is the 'second tallest'. Which is the other candidate for tallest? Davidships (talk) 00:29, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name of city

[edit]

Was the change of spelling of the city from Victoria to Vitória a consequence of the reforms of Portuguese orthography in Brazil. Was the official change in 1946? Davidships (talk) 02:51, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Missing information

[edit]

This article fails to mention how unfriendly the people in Vitória are, and how ugly are their women. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.202.227.36 (talk) 16:00, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
