Summary

[edit]

This article provides an overview of the veto session, a reassessment from the state legislature of bills vetoed by the state governor. Topics covered include the origination and a current example of veto sessions in the American political system.

Major Points

[edit]

I am surprised that an article for veto sessions hasn't been already created and I think it's an excellent topic to choose. The sources selected appear to be from a good variety of perspectives and backgrounds and, at this stage, well researched with eight listed. Also, linkages are extensive and while imagery isn't present, it doesn't need to be included in this article.

The introduction contains a high level of specificity for such a short article. A restructuring of this might see the intro get shortened and some of that text placed in another section. Of course I understand this is a first draft and further drafts will be more detailed but at the moment it's a little light. The History section especially. I'd be curious to hear how the concept developed with other cases since Dean's. Perhaps this could be clarified in the Current Usage section instead. If these sections are not both elongated, perhaps they could be combined. Is there another angle or section that this article could have? Many Wikipedia articles have a Controversy section...how is the usage of the veto session perceived?

Minor Points

[edit]

Not much of note here, but I'm wondering if the fact that this refers to the American political system needs to be stated more explicitly. It writing more text for the article, I would be careful about assuming how much the reader knows about the American political system and to not abbreviate or curtail explanations that might be necessary.
