Neither the picture in the infobox nor Gray's image below depicts the vastus intermedius muscle. The drawing inside the infobox shows the rectus femoris muscle. --Uwe Gille 22:14, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are mistaken, Rectus Femoris is a much larger muscle superficial to Vastus Intermedius that connects to the patella, it has been removed in the pictures. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.179.80.140 (talkcontribs) 02:06, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

is it under the RF?

[edit]

Can you see it when you do a leg extension, or just the other three? And how does it function as opposed to the other three? I am asking because I have some patella problems and can't really squat, deadlift, or leg press. But I can do leg extensions. And especially if I emphasize completion of the movement (with an isometric at the top). I do ahead and concentrate in turn, on each visible head, so that it gets development. And even touch them, while doing so. but if I can't see or feel the one underneath, what should I do? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.246.145.33 (talk) 00:54, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
