- Lead/infobox
- The reference to Kuiu Island itself is only found in the lead and infobox and is never cited
- Design and description
- "She displaced 8,188 long tons (8,319 t) standard, 10,902 long tons (11,077 t) with a full load." - The comma doesn't do a great job of joining the clauses here; I'd recommend using "and" instead.
- Service history
- "after it had successful conducted its strike," - Something appears to be off grammatically here
- Philippines campaign
- " and which would begin of the Philippines campaign.[11]" - "which would begin of" does not read right
- "Therefore, "Taffy 1" and "Taffy 2" launched aircraft in relief. Therefore, Petrof Bay launched two special " - Can this be rephrased to avoid having consecutive sentences start with "therefore"?
- " super battleship Japanese battleship Yamato" - Obvious from the context that it's a Japanese ship, so how about "Japanese super battleship Yamato"?
- " As Coolbaugh charged in towards the wake to deliver depth charges, with inconclusive results, whilst the rest of the fleet made an immediate 90-degree emergency turn. " - The "as" and "whilst" don't go well in conjunction, this sentence needs rephrased
More to come later. Hog Farm Talk 19:12, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- Iwo Jima
- "Upon arriving, Petrof Bay commenced operations over the island, which in conjunction with surface bombardment" - I'm assuming you mean the ship's planes did this, as Petrof Bay itself didn't operate over the island.
- "On 17 February, one of her Avengers were hit by anti-aircraft fire, and were forced to ditch next to a friendly destroyer" - Since this is referring to a single plane, I think it ought to be was, not were
- Okinawa
- " and her aircraft engaged heavy anti-aircraft fire upon arrival, which shot down two fighters, including VC-93's commander," - First mention of VC-93, can you link or gloss briefly what kind of organization VC-93 was?
- "At Guam, Composite Squadron (VC) 76 was disembarked and replaced with Composite Squadron (VC) 93 on 10 March."
Sources are all formatted good enough and appear to be reliable enough (I've seen Hazegray considered to be okay for GA). Image licensing looks proper. Hog Farm Talk 05:14, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
