Tritons original meaning?
[edit]When I went to UCSD I remember hearing that the Tritons were originally named after the nucleus of Tritium, not Tritons the sea gods. Does anyone else know anything about that? Truncat (talk) 22:55, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Robotix
[edit]Is the Triton Robotix section really necessary? If we include non-NCAA competitions on this page, we would have to include all other club "sports" (competitions) and possibly even intramurals. If there is no objection, I would like to delete the section entirely.
If necessary, this section can be redone to include club teams such as club swimming and Robotix. TritonsRising (talk) 19:40, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
Transition to Division 1
[edit]It is stated that the university is now a Division 1 university on the side panel. However, in the "Move to Division 1" section, it is stated that the transition period completes in 2024. This appears to be misleading and contradictory. Deenapederson (talk) 02:18, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
