Typhoon Ampil (2024) → Typhoon Ampil – Only typhoon on year 2024. List of storms named Ampil remove a (2024) 210.23.191.145 (talk) 12:58, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose The name Ampil is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC Tropical Storm Ampil (2018) was a more significant storm than Typhoon Ampil. HurricaneEdgar 13:58, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Comment I think it's about time to WP:SNOW close. The recent typhoon in 2024 is not the primary topic because it did not have a major impact, and it's likely that the name will be used again in a future season. HurricaneEdgar 06:57, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose As stated by HurricaneEdgar. SomeoneWiki04 (talk) 14:01, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose - minimal damage, notable storm but not the primary topic, as said by HurricaneEdgar. Shmego (talk) 14:04, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose: Tropical Storm Ampil (2018) is still a significant event. Waqar💬 15:02, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Of course it was. Anenglishguyinthephils95 (talk) 05:27, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose - The Typhoon Ampil redirect page should redirect to List of storms named Ampil if this isn't going to be moved, since Tropical Storm Ampil (2018) clearly is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Also this typhoon only had minimal impacts in Japan; it's not really a notable typhoon going by that. ~ Sandy14156 (Talk ✉️) 17:43, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. Ampil hasn't done anything to be retired, compared to 2018's Ampil, which killed several people. OhHaiMark (talk) 14:42, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
I think that the page Typhoon Ampil (2024) should be a redirect page to Typhoon Ampil.Anenglishguyinthephils95 (talk) 05:33, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
