La Tene

[edit]

Is the stone really in a La Tene style? I'm dubious, hence the tag Johnbod 02:13, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. According to the sign at a similar stone near Athleague it is...see photo. (Sarah777 19:56, 18 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]
Were the Turoe guys Celts or just copying the latest continental style? Sarah777 (talk) 11:30, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
La Tene style (which I see it is indeed) is "Celtic", but rare in Ireland. Little info on this. Johnbod (talk) 03:06, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can't prove it, but that's what I was taught in school. ThornyHemlock (talk) 17:21, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dimensions

[edit]

If anyone can get the dimensions, or at least height, that would be helpful. ThornyHemlock (talk) 17:24, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
