sleep if you read this book will hunt you Did you, cole really saw the bear? no...:( i got pretty banged up by the "spirit bear!!!this is a really good!

Does it matter wether he saw the bear? I Really don't think it matters if he saw the spirit bear or not, no one believes Cole anyway.

Yes, yes, and yes. Were those questions necessary? --RACiEP (talk) 02:26, 12 May 2008This book sucks and is totally unbelievable. Avoid. (UTC)I totally agree that this is a horrible book. My LA teacher made our entire class read it and most of us only read about 10 pages before deciding to wing the quizzes or copy notes off the computer :| 2supernerd2 (talk) 20:15, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

he also tries to run from his issues but can't because he is hurt —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.53.221.186 (talk) 15:26, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Spirit Bear was a reflection of Cole's inner journey and represented the incident with Peter Driscal. Cole beat Peter senseless out of his own anger, and, as it turned out, he could do nothing to make up for it. The Spirit Bear mauled Cole to the brink of death, but showed mercy and later even a more tender side as he lay helpless on the shore. Cole couldn't reverse what the Spirit Bear had done to him just as he couldn't reverse what he had done to Peter, both of which were caused by his anger. It was an important symbol to the whole point of the story: Cole overcoming his anger and realizing the need for change and obtaining it. Kochdude388 (talk) 01:12, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed all text after the fifth paragraph in the Plot section, but after deleting the text from there, I think the details need to be altered in the middle of some other paragraphs. It would be great if somebody else could help with that. Darkk100 (talk) 18:49, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Last time I checked Wikipedia was not for kids to discuss how much they hate the book, please stop. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Renamed user ashdfahfuh (talkcontribs) 22:39, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
