[edit]Toronto/Lester B. Pearson International Airport ->Toronto Pearson International Airport. The FULL name of the airport is NOW (& has been for some time) "Toronto Pearson International Airport": See http://www.gtaa.com/index.aspx?Sid=Node9&tpl=7#Question6 —Preceding unsigned comment added by JimWae (talk • contribs) 01:11, 21 Jun 2005

- Support - --JimWae 17:46, 2005 Jun 21 (UTC) - according to the best source available, the GTAA FAQ, that is now the FULL name
- Support. GTAA website only uses TPIA now. Even if LBPIA is "official", Wikipedia generally uses the commonly used names for things and people, i.e., Joe Clark, not "Charles Joseph Clark". Ground Zero 17:53, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Support. Gets rid of the "/" which is always a bad thing to have in a page name. Philip Baird Shearer 20:08, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Ground transportation, Statistics, Incidents and Accidents, See also, References and External links sections
[edit]The sections mentioned above, which are important to all airport articles of Wikipedia, are always seperated from each other, and are not merged with each other. This case is not the same in any airport articles on Wikipedia. Even after trying to separate those sections, they are not getting separated, and are merged together under one section–Airlines and Destinations. I request to these sections to separated from that section as soon as possible, as this article is about a major and very important airport. Thanks. Altoumulus (talk) 12:30, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
- Done They are already separated. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 12:53, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

new "In popular culture" section
[edit]Greetings. I suspect some would find it irrelevant or trivial, but I added info about the song YYZ by Rush. Do please let me know if it's inappropriate or overdone. (Update: I've just found out there is to be a Rush-themed specialty bar at the airport, so I've added that.) Yesthatbruce (talk) 05:13, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
New Map
[edit]I recently made a Airport Map for Montréal
Last week I was asked if I could make a Airport Map for Toronto as well. But I noticed, that US and CA Airports use the official FAA Charts. Now I'm unsure wheather a Map in "my" Style could and should replace the FAA Chart(s). What's your opinion? DerLudonaut (talk) 23:06, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Why does your diagram only show two runways when the airport has five? The Banner talk 00:29, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- That's Montréal - as an Example of the Style the new Map would look. DerLudonaut (talk) 01:57, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Greatly appreciated, that 2004/05 map is very much outdated (Terminal 2 & the old Terminal 1 don’t even exist anymore) and for some reason, NAV CANADA‘s maps are not transferred to Wikimedia Commons. Might be a bit hard to keep it updated every once a while, though I still think it would be an upgrade to the current map.
- On another note, RWY 06R/24L in your Montreal diagram looks a bit too short as it’s only about 1400 feet shorter than its parallel counterpart while being just slightly offset. Best shown here, those are just construction works limiting the available length.
- Also, it should be highlighted that the airport‘s name is Montréal–Trudeau, at least that’s how most of my colleagues or friends mention it whenever I visit. Otherwise, great stuff! 95.89.67.33 (talk) 08:04, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- I strongly agree. However, it has to be reliably sourced. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 01:32, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
