Tolmetin blocks the enzyme that makes prostaglandins (cyclooxygenase), resulting in lower concentrations of prostaglandins. As a consequence, inflammation, pain and fever are reduced. The FDA approved Tolectin way back in March 1976.
There is/was a section called clinical trials - it has a citation ref. a study on induced pain - it is interesting but not what the FDA approved on and sure I can prescribe most things OL. But this is already approved by FDA and needs no further adds - for the fun of it - it is a simple article. BeingObjective (talk) 01:27, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
