Who was the architect?

Is this another example of a terra cotta building?

Importance

This building should be somewhat important just as a notable and long-lived landmark on Lakeshore Boulevard coming into Toronto from the west. On the other hand, it has been a commercial building of no special interest (Dylex?) for some time.

It has had enough newspaper coverage to be considered notable. 18:32, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
