Birthplace note
[edit]The Congerssional biography and some similar sources list his birthplace as Port Royal. I chose to report St. George based on the facts that: His father owned a home there and he was baptized there. However, I haven't found a definitive source to correct the congressional website. P.S., the house still stands, known as the Tucker House, in St. George. They also display a portarit of him at about the age of eight. Lou I 3 July 2005 16:28 (UTC)
