Did You Know A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on July 10, 2021.

Somewhat misleading statement

[edit]

"Many new, predominantly female, writers and editors started their careers with contributions and criticism of their work published in The Yankee, including many who are familiar to modern readers." While not exactly false, as there are several well known authors mentioned in the article, this phrasing seems to me to imply that multiple prominent female authors appeared in the magazine's pages. This contrasts with the single mention of a named female author "and others lesser known to history." --User:Khajidha (talk) (contributions) 11:14, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
