A Band in the Making

How one could explain the tremendous difference of sound quality between the Marquee recordings and the Fillmore East tracks on this great Turning Point album, only 12 days apart :

(a) Was the ‘69 Marquee sound system so poor… or only on this peculiar gig ? I can’t believe it…

(b) Could it come from Peter Gibson’s capture for his TV Rockumentary inside the venue ?

(c) Was the Fillmore East sound system so... excellent ? or was Eddie Kramer ? or was a Polydor sound engineer so skillfull when he re-worked on (improved) the live tapes ?
