This is biased. Reads like a company press release. --Wikismile (talk) 20:50, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I did some work cleaning up the language and tried to make it follow NPOV guidelines, but there is still more work to be done. We also need to find more references to cite. I added a review from about.com that talks a little about the history, but didn't have time to link it back thru the article.Bradfordschultze (talk) 13:55, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've now gone through the article and done quite a bit of cleanup, but it still needs linking back to the citations, which is unfortunately not my strong suit. I'm going to try to figure out how to tag it with a start-class category tag and see about some ways to maybe have some peer review on it.Bradfordschultze (talk) 07:44, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I put a request in for a Wikipedia:WikiProject_Food_and_drink/Assessment. So we'll see what people have to say about the article. Working on this has made me hungry...Bradfordschultze (talk) 06:16, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why do we have this article? besides dating from 1926, there is NOTHING of significance, there are hundreds of thousands of similar establishments atround the world. I believe this should be deleted. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 14:19, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Erroneously geocentric article - many locations besides NYC.

[edit]

I am just an occasional customer (my only bias is my taste buds) but this article is way out-of-line saying The Palm is "a restaurant" in NYC. My first experience with The Palm was an incredible lobster meal in Los Angeles about 20 years ago, but they apparently have over two dozen locations in places like Las Vegas, Boston, Washington DC, Mexico City, and even Saudi Arabia (https://www.thepalm.com/store-locator/). Based on informal conversations with friends who have tried some of the other locations they all seem to attract various celebrities and have a consistent reputation for quality. 47.176.71.114 (talk) 08:26, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Improving the article

[edit]

My current occupation keeps me from having much time to edit WP but this article is both in need of help and at the same time easily expandable & improvable. I will try but would appreciate some help if possible. Beside fixing the above mentioned geocentricty issue (AKA: an opportunity for improvement) there also was a very contentious public court battle over ownership rights which is curiously missing from the article (another opportunity for improvement). Also note this video from the Hollywood Reporter which details some historic activities at the West Hollywood location (which relocated to Beverly Hills in 2014. The relocation alone being a story -- covered in multiple press articles due to some controversy -- which could be in the section on the history of the company). 47.176.71.114 (talk) 09:06, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
