Disagreement with the IRS?
[edit]NPOV. Let's be real here. It wasn't confusion, they were charged with the crime of not paying their taxes. Incidentallly, they were never convicted of that (but neither is anyone else). They got off (or more likely paid their backtaxes and later lied about it to their revolutionary friends), but were sentenced on contempt.
NPOV version: 14th street theater was shut down by the IRS for X. LT were never convicted of X. They did serve 30 days in prison for contempt, though. Some parties (many cites of this) claim this was a politically motivated response to 1963's Brig.
