Railroad spur

[edit]

The Erie/New Jersey Transit Main Line runs behind The Hermitage, and has a right-of-way for a spur to the line. Somebody told me what that line was for, but I forgot what they told me. ----DanTD (talk) 16:00, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification on dates in lead

[edit]

Hi folks, I think it could be beneficial to clarify the dates in the lead. In the lead, it mentions the house was *built* in 1847, but further down, the article states that there was only a remodel in 1847.

Also confusing in the lead is that the dates for the Rosencranz family's ownership of the home extend before the 'building' date of 1847. Did they own the property, or was the home already erected at the time of their 1807 purchase? DuckWrangler97 (talk) 04:51, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
