School anthem
[edit]I'm a student at this school and just want to point out that this is the first time I've heard of this anthem. Unless the school made one and didn't tell anyone about it, I don't think it even has one. Can anyone else actually confirm this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.132.244.116 (talk) 10:28, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- It had a school song from 77-82 while I attended, and almost certainly for a much longer period. It began:
- "Setting our eyes ever upward
- We of the Forest High
- Look to the towering tree tops
- Bearing the torch on high"
- It was sung at every assembly.
- We never referred to it as an "anthem". Braintic (talk) 09:14, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
Past students of note
[edit]I think there needs a review on who is listed on the celebrity list
Keith Scott voice of many Australian animated movies, licenced voice of cartoon characters Jenny Lamy Commonwealth games athlete. Track and field. Grant, who played vet in a Country Practice Marty Rhone pop singer with his hit “Denim and Lace” The Farris Brothers Chris Murphy Manager for INXS
to name a few Sooziqld (talk) 04:30, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
- Each of these have to 1) be notable, and 2) have a reliable reference to asserts where they went to school.
- Keith Scott is clearly notable, but I could find no reference to his schooling.
- Jenny Lamy is clearly notable, but no reference to schooling. Her Athletics home page link is broken.
- Grant: not enough information
- Marty Rhone. His wikipedia page says Crows Nest Boys High School (with a reference)
- The Farris Brothers are listed on the INXS page, where it says they attended Davidson High School.
- Chris_Murphy_(manager) is notable, but no information on his schooling.
- If you can find some refs for the schooling of Keith Scott, Jenny Lamy or Chris Murphy, or more information about "Grant", feel free to add it to wikipedia.
