I'll give this a review shortly. Wizardman 15:49, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like you've hit a groove for what's in each boat race article, so I wasn't expecting to find much. Here's what I did find:

  • "The reserve race, contested between Oxford's Isis boat " comma after boat
Comma added. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:48, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Jim Railton, writing in The Times was not impressed:" to me this sounds a little off; writing for The Times would sound a bit better even though both are technically ok.
I think I'll stick here, this is standard British English as far as I'm concerned. The Rambling Man (talk)
  • Given the record time, were there any notable reactions to it, especially considering Oxford's big win after Cambridge had won so clearly the year prior?
Have expanded that bit a bit. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:48, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'll give this a second read-through just to make sure I didn't miss anything. (Since it's short and to the point I don't have an excues if I miss anything obvious, after all) Wizardman 17:39, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I very much appreciate your time and review comments. Let me know if there's anything more I can do. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:48, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Everything looks good now (after a quick fix I found), and I'd consider it GA quality. Should you want to progress further on it though, here's a few extra things that may be useful:

  • Adding an image of Rendel alongside the crew table could be useful, since we have an image of him.
  • Some more detail on the women's race and the reserve race would be nice. I didn't request it for GA since, given that those had only begun recently at the time, I don't imagine there would have been much on it.
Thanks, I have added the image, but your second point will be very difficult to follow up in any detail, particularly the women's race... The Rambling Man (talk) 19:40, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also, fond one more issue:

  • "and while Cambridge were rating lower than their Dark Blue opposition, they remained in contention" to a lay reader this comes off as a bit odd as worded; not entirely sure what "rating lower" means. Once this is fixed I'll pass it. Wizardman 19:30, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed by converting "rating" to "stroke rate" and linking to a section of the Glossary of rowing terms. Thanks again. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:40, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks; article now passes. Wizardman 01:57, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
