Dennis' year of death is given here as 1991. However a YouTube video has emerged of an appearance he made as "Nashville Jones" presumably in early 1992 on Jann Scott Tonight (Channel 38), as the same episode includes an interview with the author of Churches That Abuse, published in March 1992. The video description mentions that Dennis passed away soon after this appearance. It seems no actual date of death is available for Dennis. Pete3194 (talk) 05:31, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK, here's what a bit of online research gives me. Dennis Lindsey's real birth name was apparently Dennis Loy McIntosh. According to his Social Security record, he was born in Springfield, Colorado, on January 16, 1941 (other sources state 1942, and in the census on April 1, 1950, his age is given as 8), and died on May 4, 1992, in Boulder, Colorado. Here is his record at FindaGrave. There is other user-submitted information on genealogy sites that gives his birth name as Dennis Lindsey and birthplace as Prairie, Arkansas, but I think that is from confusion with another person, and the information about the McIntosh name seems more reliable to me. He was a Vietnam veteran, 1967-69, as a helicopter door gunner, and later worked as a park ranger. He died in Boulder Community Hospital. This source says he died from a heart attack (but gives the wrong year). Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:05, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
