Spoiler Warning?

[edit]

I'm wondering if there should be a spoiler warning for this one. I think a lot of people would rather be surprised by what happens in the attraction, instead of reading it here. Sure it's not a movie or a book, but at the same time it's more fun for a first-timer if they don't know what's going to happen. Opinions?

The true Spider-man Voice Cast to the ride

[edit]

Okay I got in touch with the director of the ride Scott Trowbridge on facebook and he says the voice cast is wrong

Chris Edgerly plays the voice of J. Jonah Jameson,Peter Parker/Spiderman. Efrem Zambalist does'nt play Dr. Octopus Rodger Bumpass plays him. Pat Fraley plays the voice of Hobgoblin. Jim Wise plays the voice of Electro. He says him can't remember who played the voice of Hydro-man And Candi Milo played the voice of Scream. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bandrade88 (talkcontribs) 04:59, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source, other than your conversation on Facebook for these? Themeparkgc  Talk  07:15, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how to paste it on the wikipedia website but the information is 100% true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bandrade88 (talkcontribs) 19:59, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If anybody's a member of facebook just type in Scott's Trowbridge and send him a message. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bandrade88 (talkcontribs) 21:37, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What I'm asking is do you have a source for any of your information other than a conversation on Facebook? Wikipedia's policies of verifiability and reliable sources would not accept Facebook as a source in most cases. Themeparkgc  Talk  22:05, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This user has also been edit warring on comic book character articles over voice actor names for amusment park rides. 129.33.19.254 (talk) 23:02, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
See 76.24.77.138 (talk · contribs) and this point there is enough to block the registered account for block evasion, disruptive editing and borderline vandalism. - J Greb (talk) 23:44, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No Facebook is the only source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bandrade88 (talkcontribs) 03:56, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

IMDB

[edit]

Now the second proof now the second source IMDB is saying the correct information so the information from WIKIPEDIA about the Spider-man voices is incorrect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bandrade88 (talkcontribs) 20:27, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lets see... that Facebook - an unreliable source and IMDb, listed repeatedly in film and television articles as an unreliable source.
That's 2 strikes, care to go for a third?

Well were do you get your information from for these sections. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bandrade88 (talkcontribs) 21:44, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well if someone was to create their own version of an image that would be a copyright violation of the original media. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey has a similar non-free image of the ride's projections. Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As noted in the image description, this was extracted from the Spider-Man patent (US6095926). I converted it to an SVG. Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The "Reception" and a little bit of the "Production" sections should be mentioned in the lead.
Done Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "On May 28, 1999, the attraction officially opened to the public" - There's got to be a better reference supporting this statment. Same goes with the following sentance.
Unfortunately I can't find anything else specific to the individual attraction's opening. Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ref 4 does not mention anything about Infitec projectors or when the ride re-opened.
Added extra refs Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "In 2013, the attraction at Universal Studios Japan underwent a similar refurbishment with 4KHD projections being deployed. The refurbished attraction opened on July 5, 2013" - I don't read japanese and got lost in the ref. I couldn't find anything that said the refurb was in 2013 or that the ride re-opened in July.
That website does have some English in it and they were the two details I was able to extract. For example the website compares the original projection with the 4KHD projection (the latter is labelled in English. Also, at the top of the page, it has a date 7/5 = July 5 which aligns with the information you can find in other non-reliable sources. Anyway, I found an English press release to support it. Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • You can stick refs 6 and 7 at the end of the "Queue" section. No need to repeat it several times.
Done Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "...sending the Scoop on a 400-foot (120 m) simulated freefall..." - I don't think you have to mention the 400-foot part again. You already stated that riders were 400 feet high earlier.
Done Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ref 16 and 25 are dead.
Done Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is IMDb reliable?
Removed Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The track was manufactured by Dynamic Structures." - Ref 19 does not support this.
Fixed link Themeparkgc  Talk  06:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Each vehicle is fitted with a motor that controls the right side door through which guests board and leave" - Ref?
