Matchs and goals for URSS and Russia

[edit]

I'm really doubtful that Dujshebaev played 133 games and then scored 726 with USSR, Unified Team (7 games and 47 goals) and Russia. In this interview in French, we can read that from 21th March 1995, he can play for Spain two years after his last match with Russia (the 1993 World championship finale indeed was played 20th March 1993). Considering that his first cap with USSR was in 1990 (he didn't play at 1990 World championship but do played at the Goodwill Games in July 1990), it would mean that he played 133 games in less that 3 years, at a time when USSR was collapsing: for me, it's far too much. Whether the number are totally fake, or they include matchs with junior NT, or B team, or universitary team, or military team (he played for CSKA, the army club), etc. Nowadays, in the same previous interview, it is said that he played 81 games with USSR, CIS (meaning Unified Team ?) and Russia, which seems more likely than 133. This Danish article, this spanish blog, the another post on same blog and this fan blog (not very realiable source) also say he played 81 matches for Russia or USSR. Unless a reliable source is given for the 133/726, I think that the 81 caps should be considered--LeFnake (talk) 09:05, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
