As with other Japanese historical clans, this article should be renamed "Takeda clan". Objections?

I do not presume to fully understand the differences between families and clans in every case, but there definitely is a difference. I've been chastised by other editors for making that mistake before. The Takeda, Nitta, Tokugawa and Ashikaga are all branch/descendant families from the Minamoto clan; the Chiba, Doi, Miura, and Hatakeyama are branch/descendant families of the Taira clan. So, whether the Takeda should be listed as a family or as a clan, I'm honestly not sure. But the terms are not 100% interchangable. LordAmeth 12:49, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
