Swap the order

[edit]

In Asia, the surname normally comes first and the given name second. With Japanese names, it has been the custom since 1884 to present them in the Western order, which is why we have an article saying Tadayoshi Sano instead of Sano Tadayoshi. But recently that the rules about the Japanese name order has been changed, so the custom is now to use the Asian order of presenting names. If no one objects, this article should be moved to Sano Tadayoshi. --A.S. Brown (talk) 05:18, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
