Not a Canadian vehcile

[edit]

Most of the older sources linked to in the references are not available anymore, but it seems that the TH 495 is not a Canadian vehicle. It is a German design by Thyssen-Henschel, which was designed for export. Possible export candidates were Malaysia and Canada, licenced production (in the case of Canada production by Bear Head Industries Limited, which is according to the article just a subsidary) was planned, but never happened. The Leopard 2 is also licence-built in Greece, Spain, Sweden etc. but is a German tank. --Tim.vogt (talk) 21:09, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
