[edit]I removed the request for images. Replaced the two that were there, taken prior to the dedication of the monument, with two others. It's always awkward to replace images with my own, but right now the ones I took are the only ones up on Commons and any images of the actual monument seems preferable to pictures of the space that would later become the monument. Anyway, leaving this message here as disclosure. I created a category on Commons if anyone wants to use different ones (I imagine that with Pride weekend having just ended, and an imminent Wikimedia NYC event, there will be others soon): commons:Category:Stonewall National Monument. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 20:59, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Rhododendrites: No worries, there are other images of that block as well. Pictures of the park and inn before the dedication are located at Category:Christopher Park and Category:Stonewall Inn, and the Gay Liberation Monument in the park can be seen at Category:Gay Liberation Monument. - Oh, I know. I'm just saying since we have separate articles for all of these topics, that we should use images of the national monument taken since the dedication of the national monument rather than the various spaces that would become the national monument (pedantic, I know, since the images may be practically the same, but an image from 2012 can't possibly be of a monument dedicated in 2016). — Rhododendrites talk \\ 21:39, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Rhododendrites: These images are of the space that would eventually become the monument, so they (kind of) belong. But that's not really the point. The point is, if there are other images that can be used to illustrate the park, inn, or streets, then they can be placed in the article as well.
