Portrait
[edit]Obviously, photography did not exist in 1600s Italy, as it hadn't yet been invented. If, however, someone can find and add a portrait of this composer, I think it would greatly improve the article.
I don't know how common portraits were in the pre-baroque 1600s, but some must have been painted during the Renaissance. Hopefully one may be found in some dark, long-forgotten basement of an ancient art gallery and a likeness made of it.
This might make a good excuse to restore an ancient painting, eh? Paints from the Renaissance and Baroque eras do tend to deteriorate over time, even if they haven't been exposed to light in the intervening centuries. Just a thought. Erzahler (talk) 08:45, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
