More dedicated users may like to note that information to help complete the table of pre-Civil War MPs can be found in "Staffordshire Parliamentary History", by Josiah C. Wedgwood DSO, MP for Newcastle-under-Lyme when the first volume was published in 1917 by the William Salt Archaeological Society (Stafford). I have used this volume to obtain (for the article Records of members of parliament of the United Kingdom) names for the lists of MPs who died on active service, were murdered or executed etc. In the centuries pre 1500 Staffordshire lost up to 9 of its MPs through violent deaths! I have added a few of them to the table, cited to Wedgwood's work.Cloptonson (talk) 15:45, 11 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
