Am I right that "St Helens, Lancashire" is just the older name for what is now "St Helens, Merseyside"? If yes, then this redirect should exist. If not, please argue a deletion at WP:RFD. Thank you, Kusma (討論) 09:40, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, and the numeric IPs editing this article seems to belong to people (or a person, more likely) with a paranoid belief in 'County Watch' vandalism. Lancashire was once much bigger; redirects are appropriate for places that aren't in it any more. AlexTiefling 09:43, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
