This article is becoming overburdened with tons of unnecessary detail, especially in the gifts section. This is an encyclopedia and therefore is not meant to be a complete exposition of all possible details. For instance, who cares that Mildred Woods gave the church some white ribbons in 1930; this is ridiculous. This whole section should probably be removed. Other sections have similar detail that are not needed. I've tagged the article accordingly.--BCtalk to me22:10, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I removed this section since after comparing several passages from this section with the source: http://www.newspapers.com/newspage/48460195/, it's obvious that most of the section has been lifted word for word from the source. Granted the OCR text is a bit difficult to decipher, but I saw enough to come to this conclusion. Perhaps the original writer who probably has complete access to this source can distill this stuff down and properly paraphrase the content. From the nature of the writing in other sections, I suspect lots of other text has also been lifted or very closely paraphrased.--BCtalk to me23:45, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
