Map

[edit]

On that map... Germany is still divided! Could someone please actualise this? GDR was gone by 1990... THANKS :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.55.134.70 (talk) 18:30, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that the map was made by others from https://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/ that may include outdated data. Thingofme (talk) 10:35, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In China near Tokio?

[edit]

In the article it says: "The maximal phase of the partial eclipse will be recorded on West Siberian Plain in China near Tokio". The infobox gives 61.6°N 77.4°E as co-ordinates, which is in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, about 85 km NNE of the city of Nizhnevartovsk, and over 5000 km west of Tokio. I made a lot of photos of eclipse in Moscow, Russia. I'll upload some of them today at UTC. --Brateevsky (talk to me) 15:59, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File:Алматы, затмение 25.10.2022 с дрона (4).jpg from almatı, it is not good. i think it should be removed from article. ----modern_primat ඞඞඞ TALK 10:31, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
1) I'll try to find some photos with greater obscuration than in Moscow (63%). The photo from Almaty (which is not Russia, by the way) has more phase and obscuration than even the photo from Moscow. Although the clouds got in the way a bit, sorry... 2) I don't mind replacing the photo File:Solar eclipse in Moscow, Russia, 25 October 2022 (06).jpg with a photo from Saratov — this is a very excellent photo, and the percentage of the Moon covering the Sun is almost 70%. Thanks Yurakum for photo! --Brateevsky (talk to me) 17:16, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
