Without including other social domains than aggression, e.g., problem solving, sexual courtship, non-sexual peer affiliation, etc. this page is counterproductive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.87.72.41 (talk) 02:23, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Social behaviour is one of the crazy things. Social behaviour is not necessarily more "complicated" than other behaviours.

"Social Psychology" is not the only form of psychology which is concerned with social behaviour. Pete.Hurd 20:32, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Pete that social psychology is only one of many disciplines concerned with social behavior. I have added information regarding the social psychological perspective of social behavior, but this page would benefit from more information on social behavior in other fields. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leelazar (talkcontribs) 00:14, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fraternity

[edit]

Is the phrase "fraternity" really used often enough to include it as a link to and from this page? I couldn't get a Google hit, though I may not know how to search this topic well enough. —ScouterSig 14:42, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lead "In physics, physiology and sociology,"?

[edit]

Does "In physics, physiology and sociology," really make sense? Is "social behavior" really a topic within physics? Unless someone objects, I'm going to delete this. NickCT (talk) 13:45, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Every day life

[edit]

"Social behavior is not something needed in everyday life." What a conclusion ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.104.247.2 (talk) 17:23, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Collective animal behavior

[edit]

Is this the same as Collective animal behavior? If not, what is the difference? ghouston (talk) 23:00, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Collective animal behavior is a subset of social, but not all social behavior can be classified as collective behavior. For example, two individuals in a group may be engaged in mutual grooming, a social behavior, while the other members of the group are doing other things such as eating or resting. --I am One of Many (talk) 00:06, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
