Live Intrusion Formats
[edit]Live Intrusion is listed as being released on VHS and well as DVD, is there anything to support the DVD release? I have never heard of or seen it released on anything but VHS. LordFett213 (talk) 18:19, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Slayer-SoundtrackToTheApocalypse.jpg
[edit]Image:Slayer-SoundtrackToTheApocalypse.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:48, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

God Hates Us All
[edit]Is there any reason why God Hates Us All is mentioned twice, only with the second one having an additional chart position? If not one should be removed. Rezter TALK 16:17, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Was an extra template when copying and pasting, thanks for spotting it out. M3tal H3ad (talk) 04:07, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Page rewrite
[edit]I just rewrote the entire page but I have two problems: I can't find all of the music videos and directors and there needs to be a brief bio in the lead. I don't know much about Slayer and I only redid this page out of boredom. Does somebody else know the music video info? And could somebody write a brief bio along the lines of the FLs listed on WP:HMM? Thanks, —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 21:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I got the videos and directors. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 19:42, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- Got the bio done too. A copyedit would be nice though. After the ce, I am going to take it to FLC. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 21:48, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
B-sides
[edit]Here are all of the b-sides. I removed them because of the FLC request. If they are ever needed, here they are. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 21:19, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Album sales
[edit]Is the info here incomplete? I cannot believe that their entire catalog isn't at least silver. In fact I'm dumbfounded to learn that Reign In Blood isn't platinum. Not even a million people have bought it, over the course of 20 years? Nonsense! It is universally recognized as one of the most influential thrash albums! This RIAA data can't be right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.222.222.133 (talk) 19:58, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Ubernoise
[edit]A promo CD entitled "Ubernoise" was released by Slayer's label in 1998. Packaged in a cardboard envelope it contained tracks from Diabolus In Musica and live tracks interspersed by interviews. Track listing is as follows:
1. Interview Segment 1 2. Raining Blood - Live 3. Interview Segment 2 4. Stain Of Mind 5. Interview Segment 3 6. Bitter Peace 7. Interview Segment 4 8. Angel Of Death - Live 9. Interview Segment 5 10. Death's Head 11. Interview Segment 6 12. Mandatory Suicide - Live 13. Interview Segment 7 14. Love To Hate 15. Interview Segment 8 16. Chemical Warfare - Live
The live tracks, I believe, were recorded at the Agoura Ballroom in Los Angeles. Could someone with editing powers please research exact dates for these tracks and add this CD to the discography?

First Sentence
[edit]I do not think the first sentence meets Wikipedia:LEAD#First sentence: First sentence: Slayer is an American thrash metal band formed in 1981 by guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, who recruited vocalist and bassist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo. The first sentence should explain "What (or who) is the subject?" and "Why is this subject notable?" The article is about the band's discography, but the first sentence does not mention albums in its current form. Crowz RSA 17:31, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Merging
[edit]I think that both Live Undead and Live Intrusion should partially merged and redirected to this article. In order to get [[Slayer up to WP:GT, unnotable stubs that have never charted should not be included in the Slayer topic. Crowz RSA 00:40, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Slayer discography
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Slayer discography's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "CRIA":
- From List of music recording certifications: "Certification Definitions". Music Canada. Retrieved 2011-07-10.
- From Seasons in the Abyss: "Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA): Certification Results". Canadian Recording Industry Association. Retrieved 2008-03-05.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 14:26, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Reign in Blood singles?
[edit]ChartArchive lists Raining Blood as a single (1987 single not 1986 like the article currently states) but what sources are there for the other singles? Were they really released as singles? --Mika1h (talk) 15:08, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
