Ghost?
[edit]The Taylor Walker page says it's haunted. Surely this is worth including. Yngvadottir (talk) 00:13, 29 January 2014 (UTC).
I doubt this very much, it is a most non-descript set of buildings and has little in the way of colour and was not really a success as a pub because too small, compared to the Witherspoons opposite or the Clarence a little further along the street. It has expanded because of the tourist footfall in the vicinity. By including the adjacent Licensed restaurant at 33-35 the pub operator was able to expand the premises without having to go through a separate Licence application. Confusing/awkward phrasing in lede
[edit]Regarding:
The building had been an establishment at that location since the thirteenth century.
Might this be better phrased? I think it's trying to say, 'buildings containing some form of establishment have existed at the current location since the thirteenth century'. Or is it actually true that the current building itself dates to the thirteenth century? Regardless, the present phrasing seems awkward and ambiguous to me.
